UCD plays a leading role in pioneering knowledge transfer (Nova 2004-2015), with over €5 million generated from commercialisation of research invention disclosures, 30 new UCD spin-outs incorporated, 550 invention disclosures, 110 Licence Agreements, 300 Patent applications. UCD has a major contractual track record in successive EU Framework Programmes: - UCD secured 219 EU FP7 contracts. UCD currently has already secured over 56 contracts in Horizon 2020 - UCD is managing 17 ERC awards, including 3 ERC Proof of Concept awards.
